About the opportunity
We’re looking for a Junior Game Developer at StaplesVR to work with our technical manager and other members of our development team to produce a variety of different projects across platforms and technology. The role requires a basic understanding of all roles when it comes to game development such as (but not limited to)asset creation, lighting, programming, audio, source control, backing up work etc. A Junior Game Developer is a generalist and management understands that upskilling in key areas is required over time for those in this role.

About the opportunity
We’re looking for an Intermediate Game Developer to work with our team to produce real-time VR and AR games. The role includes direct input into mechanics and user experience design, as well as picking up a variety of different new and emerging development software. The role is primarily programming based with small amounts of 3D and technical art.
Responsibilities
- Planning, creating, testing, and maintaining code which follows company policies and procedures.
- Managing your own tasks and timelines.
- Communicating efficiently with project managers.
- Working on game development tasks as required such as design, tool development and 3D assets.
- Creating UX and design documents
Skills and Experience required
- 2+ years of professional experience in game development programming for a studio or corporate company.
- You can confidently use either Unreal Engine or Unity.
- Great communication skills.
- You understand user experience design and can generate documentation to support your ideas.
- You have a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to self-teach new software, methods, and styles.
